On 03-13-2021 at approximately 2 a.m., the Hernando County Sheriff's Office Aviation Unit responded to the Croom Wildlife Management Area to search for two individuals who got lost while hiking the trails in the area. The lost hikers used a cellphone to alert authories of their situation. The Aviation Unit was able to locate the hikers within 10 minutes of arriving on scene. The Aviaiton Unit directed deputies on the ground to the hikers' location. | Hernando County Sheriff's Office
