Update - Video from Malden shows the aftermath of a 3-alarm fire earlier today. Malden, MA - Just after 5:00 PM this evening, fire crews responded to reports of a building fire on Ferry St. While responding, companies reported heavy smoke from a distance, and ordered a second alarm. Firefighters arrived to heavy fire showing from all three floors and attempted an interior attack. Fire extended to the attic, prompting a third alarm to be struck. 3.25.25 || BOSTON, MA - Firefighters Battled Heavy Fire in a 3 Story Multi-Family home in Dorchester. Fire originated in the basement and auto exposed in the rear to all floors and into the attic. Engine 18 and Ladder 6 were first due. Firefighters were able to quickly contain the flames to the rear of the structure. One dog died as a result of the fire.
