On September 25, 1989 WWF Prime Time Wrestling aired on the USA Network. During the “WWF Update” segment with Mean Gene Okerlund, we get a recap of the crowning of “The Macho King” Randy Savage. Savage adopted the moniker "The Macho King" after defeating Jim Duggan for the King of the Ring title on September 23, 1989 (Duggan in turn had won it from Haku). Savage’s manager, Sensational Sherri, even adopted the new moniker of “Queen Sherri”. On a later wrestling episode, he had a coronation as the
