When using a drag knife, the knife tip isn’t centered like a normal bit, it’s offset. That means your X and Y zero positions need to be set individually to account for that offset so the cut lines up perfectly with your drilled holes. What do you think of how this turned out? Making a leather tool pouch on the CNC machine using the Donek D4 Drag knife on the new Stepcraft Gen 3 D.840 CNC machine, all available on our website! The drag knife cut the leather perfectly leaving nice clean cuts, I love watching it work! To drill the 5mm holes I used the 363005 solid carbide drill with the 365050 bushing and 47636 adapter at 50ipm plunge rate.
