Ships & Sweets 2025 at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center is in the books and it was a fun one! We were blessed with good weather and awesome trick or treaters! Thank you to all the boats who decorated and handed out candy, Sea Chef Dockside Kitchen for the hayrides and good eats, Oceans East along with Frito Lay and Pepsi for the chips and sodas, Coast Guard for coming over to hand out candy and all of our employees who helped get it all ready, kept the parking orderly and cleaned up before the next b

Here is a first person point of view from our lifeboat operating in surf today in the wake of Hurricane Erin. The storm has passed but offshore sea state is still extremely dangerous. #hurricaneseason For those wondering: Oregon Inlet is in Nags Head, North Carolina. This footage is of a training evolution on our 47 foot motor lifeboat in the surf zone.
