An extraordinary journey ahead for the tug Ocean Tower. We were fortunate to capture the 106-foot, 4,080-horsepower Ocean Tower tug and barge OG723, accompanied by McKeil Marine’s 80-foot, 2,000-horsepower tug Jarrett M at the stern, as they made their way downstream on a heavily overcast November day on the Detroit River. Departing Manitowoc, Wisconsin on November 18, 2025, the Ocean Tower is transporting a #70 crane mounted on barge OG723—is en route to the Naval Shipyard in Washington State.
