Both wet and dry processing methods for wild clay have their strengths and weaknesses. Some clays are more suited to one than to another. If your clay is relatively pure when you dig it, more than 75% pure clay, then it may be better suited to dry processing. Because why would you need to remove those 25% impurities just to add about the same amount back as temper?
