Today we visited the historical site of Fotheringhay Castle Ruin which dates back to around 1100. It is most famous for being the birthplace of King Richard III. He was born here on 2nd October 1452. He died on 22nd August 1485 at the Battle of Bosworth Field at age 32. This was the last decisive battle of the Wars of the Roses, which marked the end of the Middle Ages in England.
