Part of my take on The New Basement Tapes’ “Kansas City”The New Basement Tapes was a mid-2010’s project organized by the legendary T Bone Burnett gathering some of the decade’s best folk artists to construct songs out of discarded lyrics written by Bob Dylan while he was writing his album, The Basement Tapes in 1975. I recently listened through the whole album front to back, and while I had previously known about Kansas City, I ended up finding like four other songs that I really liked. I might
