Each year International Cheetah Day is celebrated on December 4. Although cheetahs are the fastest land mammal, their plight is in a struggle for survival. The Gulf Breeze Zoo and our sister park, Virginia Safari Park, participate in a nationwide cheetah breeding and genetic diversity program to support the conservation of cheetahs in human care.
