Memphis, TN : meet Polly and marshmallow( mostly white one.) these are 9 year old siblings who have always been together. Polly weighs 22 lbs, marshmallow weighs 19lbs. These both get upset when the other is out of sight. They are happiest together. Both are spayed and up to date on vaccines and Heartworm negative. They need a foster or adopter. Update on Bessie, the little dog who came to us with a necrotic leg that was mostly chewed off. She had surgery with Dr. Breland at walnut grove animal Hospital and healed really well . I had never been to Grind City Brewery, today they had “Ciderfest” and I wanted to check it out. It’s located off second street north of downtown. We used to sometime cut through this area to get from Frayser to downtown. It was all industrial or shotgun shacks then. It is so gentrified now. Lots of high end apartment complexes. I was impressed how much had gone into restoring the area. And lots of people at ciderfest. | Real Good Dog Rescue

update #3: forget update #2. The people who took the dog did something really stupid by having people visit with another dog when she had been in their home less than 24 hours. Goldie is now at GERMANTOWN ANIMAL SHELTER. Her adoption fee has been paid. She did live with a small dog her whole life but she probably would be most secure as an only dog since she has been on her own after the small dog was rehomed. Sometimes we come across a dog in a shelter that immediately touches our heart, that we know we have to help. That was the case with sweet Petie. Petie, who is 10 years old, was brought into the shelter as an owner surrender with extremely limited mobility in his back legs. He would pull himself along with his front legs while his back ones kind of flopped around a bit.
