Singer-songwriter Marlon Williams explains how he overcame shame and embarrassment to write and record an album entirely in te reo Māori (the Māori language). Williams, who identifies as part Māori, part Pākehā (Māori for a white New Zealander), has always sung in te reo Māori, but is not fluent in it.
