Foster Ladd had a bit of a setback this week and will need to stay in Foster for a few more weeks. He fell over twice and then started having a hard time walking, the vet was able to get him the next morning and it was determined he has cruciate ligament tears in both knees. The vet is confident that they will heal on their own with rest and medication so we are at a wait and see. If they don’t heal then a decision will need to be made about surgery and funds would have to be raised. We ordered

Your prayers have been so evident during Kennedy’s recovery. She is having surgery in February to remove the hardware in her hips and knees. Her ankle hardware is staying. She will also be having her canines removed because her adult teeth are beginning to grow upwards. If we can remove her baby canines that may allow room for her adult teeth to move in! LETS GO! Kennedy has MPS1, a rare genetic disorder. Due to the effects of this disease, she had to have double hip and double knee surgery in November (just one of many surgeries she has had in the past) her goal has been to play softball, and even though she can’t walk without assistance yet, she was able to HIT THE BALL! Kennedy will have double hip osteotomies with a bone graft from her pelvis to develop her socket, she will have 8 plate surgery in both knees to help straighten her legs from the knees, her calf will be cut on her left leg in a few places to release some of the tightness and hopefully give a better range of motion.
