A group of people fishing off Haida Gwaii were treated to a rare sighting recently when a huge group of resident orcas surfaced near their boat. Global viewer Corey Wallis says when his group saw the orcas, they pulled up their lines and turned off their boats to watch the spectacle. They ended up right in the whales’ path. In all, Wallis says they counted 24 resident orcas from two separate pods travelling together. | Global BC
