The emotional life of death care workers is perhaps the most vital part of who we are. Is the lifespring for all that we do and give. With good intentions, many death care workers repress and deny our emotional lives . . . our secondary grief, our frustration, our tears, our anger, our anxiety, our constant tiredness (yeah, coffee). Repression makes things spiral for us. There’s times when our emotional life feels out of control and the repression that has served us in the past, no longer works.
