Deaf children don’t need to be fixed, they need accessible language from birth. ASL first is not anti-speech or anti-technology; it’s pro–brain development. Cochlear implants and speech therapy can be tools, but they should never replace a fully accessible language. When Deaf children have early access to ASL, they thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
