Crappie Fishing Tips: Techniques, Rigs, and Setups

Crappie for Christmas! Fisheries biologists recently wrapped up crappie sampling at Harris Brake Lake near Perryville. The lake is known for healthy-sized crappie, but the last haul of the sampling effort was full of slab-sized papermouths. Only a handful of these fish were kept for age-and-growth analysis to monitor the population. Nearly all of the hundreds of crappie caught during the effort were returned right back to the lake for anglers to enjoy. | Arkansas Game and Fish Commission
