Peep at our first-class accommodations (for 2 adults) on Amtrak’s “City of New Orleans” route (Chicago to New Orleans). The bedroom featured full, private facilities, plus one twin and one full (Murphy-style) bed, a comfy swivel chair, a small closet for coats, a corner rack big enough for 2 purses and my hat, and large windows for sightseeing. The cabin attendant handled converting the beds, each morning and evening. Our room was reasonably comfortable, if a bit tight for 2 adults. Cost for the
