In a speech last week, Moore suggested the president visit Maryland’s biggest city and “walk our streets and not just talk about us from the Oval Office,” as he touted cutting the violent crime rate and reducing the number of vacant homes throughout the city.

The president said Maryland Gov. Wes Moore (D) told him at last year’s Army-Navy football game that he was “the greatest president” of his lifetime. Moore said, “That conversation never happened.”

The president also threatened to rethink the federal funding set to aid in replacing the collapsed Francis Scott Key Bridge.
