So spoilers could abound until most people adopt the feature. Even still, it's good to see a feature that allows you to stay in the loop without spoiling major plot points along the way.
Threads isn't making the whole thing completely autonomous, and the features that are currently being tested will rely on other people to mark spoilers as and when they see them.
The spoiler may be anything users talk about online, from movies to series discussions, as well as gaming, novels, or other types of topics. Moreover, users may also blur images apart from text.
When someone wants to talk about <i>Daredevil</i> in a thread about cute kittens, or someone wants to let loose some plot info about <i>Dune</i> in a +DoD thread, I suppose a spoiler is called for.
