Wildfires have reduced some 7,000 Los Angeles homes to ash and rubble since January 7. The fires are now 99 percent contained, but consumed 37,000 acres – two and a half times the size of Manhattan.
After nearly a month, the Palisades and Eaton fires in Los Angeles County have reached 100% containment, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
A wildfire raging through the Pacific Palisades neighborhood of Los Angeles has consumed homes in the ritzy area, including those belonging to celebrities. Several additional fires have broken out.
