Update: Lilac Fire in San Diego County remains fully contained as of Thursday midnight
Lilac Fire initially started 1:19 a.m. Jan. 21 in San Diego County. It has burned 85 acres after being active for 47 hours. As of Thursday midnight, the blaze has been fully contained by a fire crew of three. Investigations into its cause are still ongoing.
"A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly," the NWS said.
A Red Flag Warning remained active for inland and mountain communities through Friday morning, which means it could be another busy day for local fire crews.
