A long-term development project in Ashland has exceeded its budget by half a million dollars in the first phase.

Ashland Parks and Recreation hosts open house on Thursday for the East Main Park project, which is half a million dollars over budget in just phase one.

Young entrepreneurs developed their small businesses plans ahead of the annual event and then served community members on Saturday.

Police say five people were found with gunshot wounds including a mom and her three children. Police believe Chad Behee to be the suspect.
