Just over a week after deadly flash floods swept through central Texas, slow-moving thunderstorms brought heavy rain, and a potential for flash flooding and rapid river rises to the region Sunday.

Three areas are being monitored for potential tropical development, one of which could bring localized flooding and rough surf to parts of the Gulf Coast.

Portions of the central United States will face more episodes of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts and hail.
