在1967年和1968年，大卫·奥斯汀又分别培育出了月季新品种'Chianti' (亲本之一为Rosa gallica Tuscany)和'Shropshire Lass' (亲本之一为白蔷薇Madame Legras de St. Germain)，这两个品种每年只在春季或早夏开一次花，之后Chianti与紫红色的波旁蔷薇Gipsy Boy杂交得到不太勤花的紫红色多季月季The Knight。
