Huijsen has signed a five-year contract with the 36-time La Liga champions Real Madrid, who this year will finish second to Barcelona in the Spanish top flight. He is expected to join up ahead of this summer’s Club World Cup after completing the season with Bournemouth.

Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen will join LaLiga side Real Madrid from June 1 after signing a deal with the Spanish side until 2030, both clubs said on Saturday, making him eligible to play in next month's Club World Cup.

The Spanish club stated that they have reached an agreement with AFC Bournemouth for 50 million pounds for the transfer of the defender, a player for the Spanish national team, who will sign with Real for the next five seasons.
