Project Ire is Microsoft's autonomous AI that reverse engineers software to detect malware without prior knowledge or human intervention.

Microsoft describes it as the first AI system within the company to reach the “gold standard” of malware classification, typically reserved for expert human analysts.

Although Project Ire is a prototype, Microsoft says the 'AI agent' can (in some cases) reverse engineer any type of software on its own to determine if it's malicious.
