Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker, whose production at the plate has plummeted since July, was diagnosed in June with a hairline fracture in his hand.

Cubs manager Craig Counsell simply acknowledged the obvious when he finally decided to give the All-Star outfielder a break.

"The fans are frustrated, and Kyle is frustrated," Counsell said after the game.
