Black Panther: Wakanda Forever introduces the Midnight Angels, including Aneka. Here's what to know about the heroes.

In Wakanda Forever, the Midnight Angels have a very similar look and backstory. Shuri was developing a new armor called Midnight Angel at the start of the film.

The Midnight Angels were created by Jonathan Maberry and Scot Eaton and first appeared in Doomwar #5 in June 2010. There are two versions of the group, with both being heavily connected to Wakanda.

Of course, like Riri Williams' Ironheart gear, the Midnight Angels were not the main focus of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and therefore their brief screen time might have been by design.

The Midnight Angels wore winged stealth suits, and carried electric weapons. They gave the wearer advanced abilities, like strength and agility, along with flight.

It’s not clear what Marvel’s longterm plans for the Midnight Angels are yet, but there are some possible clues. Marvel previously announced an untitled Wakanda series that would come to Disney+.
