The threat of heavy rain is “slight” for this weekend, but with the ground fully saturated in Kerr County even small amounts of rainfall could cause flooding.

“Another thing about the Texas flooding is that it happened on a holiday weekend when a lot of people were camping at places along the river. In our area, people often travel to southern Missouri or the Ozarks to escape the city, and all the rivers and creeks there can flood similarly.”
