Tonight’s NBA Summer League action has the LA Clippers facing off with the Houston Rockets, live from Las Vegas, Nevada.

In an offseason packed with transactions-most notably a blockbuster trade that sent Kevin Durant to the Rockets from the Phoenix Suns in exchange for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks and a raft of draft capital-Reed Sheppard is one of the beneficiaries of that deal.

To celebrate July 13 — otherwise known as 7/13, i.e. the digits of Houston’s original area code — the Rockets are hosting a weekend-long celebration.

Nate Williams and Reed Sheppard are the only players on the Rockets' roster playing in summer league. Williams isn't sweating his non-guaranteed contract.

Holiday signed as a free agent with Houston on July 10, 2023. In two seasons with the Rockets, he has appeared in 140 games with four starts while averaging 14.9 points, 3.9 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals per 36 minutes played. Holiday also shot 39.2% from 3-point range and 88.5% from the foul line over that span.
