Los Angeles Fire Department Chief Kristin Crowley said that the City of Los Angeles failed its residents after failing to properly fund the fire department.
The union defended Crowley after a letter claiming to be from retired and active LAFD chief officers assailed the chief over her agency's wildfire response.
Former and current LAFD members also blasted Crowley for letting over 125 senior commanders retire under her watch, creating a crippling power void across the city's different firehouses.
