Penn State filled an important need at edge rusher Friday, adding Malvern Prep’s Jackson Ford to its Class of 2026. Listed at just under 6-foot-4, 240 pounds, Ford picked up an offer from the Nittany Lions nearly a year ago after earning it during the staff’s Whiteout Camp last July.

This is an important get for Penn State, as the Nittany Lions did not yet hold a verbal pledge from a defensive end in the 2026 class. They once had four-star Daniel Jennings in tow, but he reclassified to the 2025 group. They also missed out last week on one of their top overall targets in New Jersey DE Luke Wafle.

Nittany Lions offensive line coach Phil Trautwein is always on the hunt for athletic tackles with moldable frames and the long, lean Eagan Boyer definitely fit that profile. Penn State zoned in on him as a target with an offer in January 2023 and he traveled to campus several times thereafter.
