Norris collided with Formula One championship leader Piastri late on in Sunday's Canadian Grand Prix. While Piastri came away relatively unscathed to secure fourth place in Montreal, Norris crashed into the barriers and failed to finish.

The Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal will stay on the calendar through 2035 after agreeing a four-year extension to the existing deal, Formula One said on Tuesday.

First appearing on the schedule in 1967, the Canadian Grand Prix is the longest-running race on the F1 calendar outside of Europe, and last week’s installment was the 54th edition of the Grand Prix. The race moved to Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve, its current home, in 1978.
