The WILX First Alert Weather meteorologists have declared Wednesday and Thursday First Alert Weather Days. An icy mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain may make for dangerous conditions late Wednesday afternoon into early Thursday morning.

The northerly winds will continue to introduce cool air into the atmosphere over Hawaii. High temperatures each day will settle in the upper 70s and low 80s. Low temperatures will be cold for our standards, starting each morning in the mid-to-high 60s.

After ending January with mild weather (even record-breaking at times), our first full week of February is going to feel & look more like Winter. In fact, we are starting out the week with a First Alert Weather Day (FAWD) this morning due to snow on the morning commute.

Meteorologist Scott Gagliardi said light to moderate snowfall is expected through midnight. Here’s his late-night forecast.
