Columbia's new disciplinary office is raising alarm among students, faculty and free speech advocates, who accuse the school of bowing to President Donald Trump's threats to slash funding to universities and deport campus “agitators.

The Trump administration said Monday that it had launched a review of federal grants and contracts with Columbia University over allegations the school failed to address antisemitism amid a wave of campus protests over the Israel-Hamas war.

Federal agencies are considering orders to stop work on $51 million in contracts with the New York City school.
