Jeremy Antonisse scored in stoppage time to give 90th-ranked Curacao a 1-1 draw with Canada, one of the favorites for the Gold Cup

Substitute Jeremy Antonisse scored in the 94th minute to lift Curaçao into a 1-1 draw with Canada in Group B play at the Concacaf Gold Cup on Saturday.

This is Curacao’s first run in the Gold Cup since their quarterfinal appearance in 2019. They withdrew from the 2021 tournament, but did not qualify two years ago. Like El Salvador, Curacao qualified for the Gold Cup by winning their group in Division B in the Nations League.
