The Philadelphia 76ers have apologized to singer/songwriter Sevyn Streeter for not allowing her to sing the national anthem on opening night because she was wearing a shirt that read "We Matter".

Sevyn Streeter, who was scheduled to sing the national anthem before Wednesday's Sixers season opener, said she was told by the team she could not perform because of her "We Matter" jersey.
