The warning was in place for Rutherford County. "The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and has exited the warned area. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire," says the NWS Greenville-Spartanburg SC. The warning is in effect until 5:45 p.m.

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued by the National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg at 4:51 p.m. on Thursday, July 10.
