Australian families are being hit with hundreds – sometimes thousands – of dollars in losses as online scammers prey on children through Roblox, luring them with fake offers of free in-game currency.

In Roblox, the in-game money is known as Robux and is widely used. This game is aimed at young people who are prepared to spend real money on cosmetics, and as such, it is both alluring and addictive.
