Defenceman Quinn Hughes will remain out Tuesday night against the Montreal Canadiens but is to be determined beyond that, head coach Rick Tocchet confirmed to reporters. The 25-year-old is listed as day-to-day with an undisclosed injury. He took to the ice on Tuesday's morning skate, but was a limited participant in a non-contact jersey.

There is good news on the Quinn Hughes front. Canucks coach Rick Tocchet told reporters that the captain would have skated on Monday if the team had practised.

While it’s not confirmed exactly when he reinjured himself, Hughes did have an awkward fall after one of the Kraken goals in the second period, which could be the culprit. He went down the tunnel to the dressing room shortly after but returned to the bench just a few moments later.

After Tuesday’s loss to the Montreal Canadiens, coach Rick Tocchet said defenceman Quinn Hughes will travel with the team to Calgary and that there’s a “good possibility” he’ll play against the Flames.
