Cillian Murphy has officially confirmed he will reprise his role as Jim in 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, the upcoming sequel in Danny Boyle and Alex Garland’s post-apocalyptic film series.

Speaking to IGN, Boyle revealed that Murphy will not be in 28 Years Later, but is in the film’s sequel, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, which is scheduled for release on January 16, 2026.
