President Donald Trump has signed an executive order extending the deadline for TikTok’s Chinese parent company, ByteDance, to sell the app’s U.S. operations — granting another 90 days before a potential ban takes effect.

President Donald Trump on Thursday signed an executive order to keep TikTok running in the U.S. for another 90 days to give his administration more time to broker a deal to bring the social media platform under American ownership.

At this point, it’s unclear who might buy TikTok's U.S. operations, but Trump does not want the app to go dark.
