The Saints signed quarterback Hunter Dekkers on Tuesday following a tryout at rookie minicamp over the weekend. The Saints now have four quarterbacks under the age of 27 following Derek Carr's retirement announcement Saturday.

Broughton, from the Texas Longhorns, was the seventh pick in the third round and the 71st overall selection. He was the 11th defensive tackle drafted and one of two Texas players drafted by the Saints. Longhorns offensive tackle Kelvin Banks Jr. was picked by New Orleans in the first round.

The Saints signed undrafted quarterback Hunter Dekkers from Iowa Western and Iowa State on Monday pending a physical, per Saints reporter Mike Triplett. Dekkers tried out for a spot during the Saints' rookie minicamp this past week.
