Notre Dame has landed another impact commitment, this time landing a pledge from Sarasota (Fla.) Cardinal Mooney defensive tackle Elijah Golden. The 6-4, 270-pound lineman chose Notre Dame over Alabama, Oklahoma and Virginia Tech among many, many others.

Star 2026 defensive lineman Elijah Golden has committed to Notre Dame. The 6-4, 275-pounder chose the Fighting Irish over a final grouping of Alabama, Oklahoma, and Virginia Tech. Golden was the top remaining target for Notre Dame in a star-studded 2026 class that is ranked among the best classes in the entire country.

The Irish have 27 verbal commitments in the Class of 2026, which would be the largest group of freshman signees since the Charlie Weis era.
