Ed Boon, the co-creator of the Mortal Combat series has revealed that Mortal Kombat 1 has now sold over 6.2 million copies.

Once Mortal Kombat 1 is completed, NetherRealm Studios will likely have to choose between making a new Injustice game or a Marvel fighting game, if it has the opportunity to make one.
