Britain's King Charles said on Thursday the world had a duty to commit to seeking lasting peace and preventing warfare in a speech to mark the end of four days of commemorations for the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day.

King Charles III and other senior members of the royal family kicked off four days of national celebration to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe by attending a military parade in London.
