Jeff Bezos couldn’t wait to see Lauren Sánchez’s wedding dress after her last fitting before their wedding day. Laura Tortora, an editor at ‘Vogue Italia,’ told PEOPLE that Bezos ‘begged’ to see the dress before they tied the knot on June 27.

Amazon and Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez, a journalist, author and helicopter pilot, are officially married. Sánchez shared an update on Instagram with a photo of the couple in their wedding attire from their star-studded wedding in Venice, Italy.

That’s right. The wedding that took place on the small, secluded island of San Giorgio Maggiore was symbolic, not legally binding. Venice didn’t receive an official license request from Sánchez and Bezos, a city spokesperson confirmed to CNN ahead of the nuptials.
