It sure looks as if coach Brian Daboll is doing everything possible to elevate rookie Jaxson Dart into the backup quarterback role.

New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart completed 13 consecutive passes and was 14 of 16 in his second NFL preseason game.

All in all, Dart finished the day with 154 yards and one touchdown on 12-of-19 passing (63.2%). His quarterback rating was a 106 and he led Big Blue to points on three of four drives. Veteran Russell Wilson, who’s ahead of Dart on the depth chart (for now), finished with 28 yards on 6-of-7 passing.
