After Truatman, Lucas Krull had 19 receptions for 152 yards and tight end/fullback hybrid Nate Adkins hauled in 14 catches for 115 yards and three touchdowns. Rounding out the TE room's production was five receptions for 28 yards from Greg Dulcich.

The Broncos also acquired quarterback Zach Wilson and defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers in separate trades with the New York Jets, and the team sent wide receiver Jerry Jeudy to the Cleveland Browns in another trade. More trades could be on deck this spring (Denver currently holds seven draft picks ).

Perhaps the Broncos do surprise and spend big on a free-agent defensive lineman. However, with a payday looming for Allen and the draft likely to be a place where the Broncos can find a quality player, they'll likely be content with a lower-cost free agent instead.
